Jennifer J. Cornell, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Jennifer Cornell provides only the best dental care in her Clarksville practice, where she values establishing rewarding relationships with her patients. She is a graduate of our local Montgomery Central High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University in Radiologic Technology. She completed a certificate program in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a 2005 graduate of Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN where she received numerous awards and honors including Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After graduation she returned to teach part time at Meharry as a clinical instructor in the Restorative Department. She has also served as a contract dentist at Montgomery Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Dr. Cornell is passionate about lifelong learning and skill development. In recent years she completed additional training in surgery pertaining to placement of dental implants so that she can offer placement and restoration of dental implants to her patients. Another passion of hers is providing patients with their best night’s sleep possible with Dental Sleep Medicine. This growing field enables dentists to assist patients in the areas of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) as well as Snoring, achieving a more restful night sleep with use of oral appliances worn while sleeping. She opened a side arm of the practice, Dental Sleep Solutions of Clarksville which is devoted to this treatment and works closely with the medical community. She continues to enjoy all things pertaining to General Dentistry but gears her schedule to more complicated cases and advanced procedures.

Dr. Cornell is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Tennessee Dental Association (TDA) and the local 8th District Dental Society where she has served as Treasurer, Secretary and President. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) currently serving as the Tennessee AGD newsletter editor and Vice President. She holds memberships in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), and American Association of Implant Dentistry (AAID). She is a member of the American Association of Women Dentist (AAWD), where she has served as the 2012 National President. She has also served as President of Smiles for Success, a charitable foundation of AAWD, that assists women with dental work after graduating from welfare to work. She is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists (ACD) as well as the International College of Dentists (ICD) and most recently achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in July of 2013 during the national meeting held in Nashville. She has participated in a dental Mission Trip to Jamaica, Donated Dental Services, Labor of Love and is a routine volunteer at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Clarksville. In her spare time, you will find her at the yoga studio, golfing, traveling and being with her husband Corey, son Zachary, Marley their Labradoodle and two cats.
